Meet the Artist
Inspired by literature, history, and the Northern California landscape, artist Emily Hulett brings her ideas to life on canvas. She favors gouache, with exploration in watercolor and acrylic mediums.
Originally from upstate New York, Emily grew up with a foundational love of nature. She spent her formative years reading, studying art, and wandering the woods bordering the Adirondack Mountains. Emily enrolled in extracurricular and advanced placement art programs before earning her Collegiate Degree in Art in 2017 from SUNY Adirondack.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Caleb, and their two cats, Princess Peach and Maisie. When she’s not nose-deep in a fantasy novel, you can find her playing TTRPG’s with her friends, at farmers markets, baking, and of course, painting.
Other inspiration comes from her travels. Whether it be the Scottish countryside, the medieval architecture of Edinburgh, the looming trees in Redwood National Park, or the blooming flora found along the west coast. She is a firm believer that there is beauty within both the magnificent and mundane.
